How projects
actually run.
Plain English, no clauses designed to be skimmed past. These terms apply to every project unless we've agreed something different with you in writing.
The terms
1. Scope and quotes
Prices shown on this site are starting prices. Before any work begins we agree a written scope and a fixed price for that scope. That price does not change during the build. If you ask for work outside the agreed scope, we quote it separately and you decide whether to add it — we never proceed and invoice afterwards.
2. Payment
50% is payable up front to reserve your slot and begin the build. The remaining 50% is payable on delivery, before handoff and transfer of ownership. The deposit reserves capacity we then hold for you, so it is non-refundable once the build has started, other than as set out in section 6.
3. What we need from you
To start we need your brand name, logo, brand colours, product details and any reference material. You confirm that you own or are licensed to use everything you send us, and that we may use it for the purpose of building your store.
4. Timeline
The under-two-week timeline starts when we have received everything listed in section 3 — not when the deposit clears. If we are waiting on you for more than 48 hours at any point, the clock pauses until you come back to us. We will tell you when this happens rather than let it slide silently.
5. Revisions
Store Build includes two rounds of revisions; Full Brand includes three. A round is one consolidated set of feedback, not an open-ended stream of individual requests. Additional rounds are available at the add-on price shown on the services page.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time in writing. If you cancel before we have started design work, the deposit is refunded in full. If you cancel after work has started, the deposit is retained to cover the work done and the slot held, and nothing further is owed. If we cancel — which we would only do if the project turns out to be outside what we can deliver — you get a full refund of everything paid.
7. Ownership
On final payment, everything we produce for you is yours outright: the storefront, the code, the assets, the admin access. We retain no licence over it and hold nothing back. Any third-party components (Shopify apps, licensed fonts, stock imagery) remain subject to their own licences, which we will identify to you.
8. Showing the work
We would like to show completed projects in our portfolio and on social media. If you would rather we didn't, tell us and we won't — no negotiation, no discount attached to it.
9. What we don't cover
Delivery does not include ongoing maintenance, hosting, Shopify subscription fees, paid apps, marketing, or content written for you, unless it's written into your scope. Shopify plan fees are billed to you by Shopify directly and are not part of our price.
10. Liability
We build carefully and test what we ship, but we can't be liable for lost profits or indirect losses. Our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid us for it. Nothing here excludes liability that can't lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes to these terms
The terms that apply to your project are the ones in force when we agree your scope. Later changes to this page don't apply retroactively to a project already underway.
Last updated: 26 July 2026. These terms describe how we work; they aren't legal advice, and for a substantial project you may want your own agreement reviewed by a solicitor.
